Established or newly formed organisations

From no Human Resource presence to a dedicated team, let me complement your organisation whilst looking for signs of labour exploitation

The risk of labour exploitation in your supply chain is higher and closer than you think.

Organisations have a moral responsibility of ensuring that labour exploitation is not present in the product that they sell.

In the UK, the Modern Slavery Act was passed in 2015 which obliged businesses with an annual turnover of £36m or above to disclose the steps they take to tackle slavery in their supply chain.

Whether you meet the above criteria or not, my service will show your customers that you are committed to the fight against the eradication of labour exploitation, and this starts from day one of an employees life cycle. I will create a positive first impression for your employees with a friendly, professional induction by:-

Preparing for their arrival.

I will show your new employees that they are important by making sure that you are prepared for their arrival.  This will include paperwork and a presentation pack.

Finish the paperwork.

I will make sure that all new starter paperwork is completed.  This will include right to work, next of kin, address and bank details

Tour of their new place of work.

I will give your new employees a tour of their new place of work so they can be fully orientated. This will include an introduction to their colleagues, and shown where fire exits and washrooms are located.  They might not remember everything, but this will help them feel a bit more at ease.

Training from day one.

This doesn't have to be a full training programme.  New employees need to know health & safety and site safety rules. I will start with some small task to make them comfortable.

Check on them often.

At the end of their first day and their first week, I will ask the new employee how they are feeling? I will let them know if they have any questions or any concerns, that they can approach me at any time. Knowing that I care and that I'm concerned will help them feel at ease and more open for dialogue.

I will return monthly or as often as needed to assist in resolving any issues that my arise.
